Bad, bad blogger!

Sorry that I've been MIA for the last couple of weeks.  We've had some visitors so I kind of slacked off a little bit.  My apologies.  Now that we're done being spoiled by my auntie and her friend, and my mom I can get back to my weekly posts.  Lucky you! 

Here are the highlights of the last couple weeks:





Hannah and her friend Kaylie do a split-V.  :)


• Hannah went to her first cheer clinic.  She was so cute...she's a natural!  She and her friend Kaylie spent the morning with the local high school's drill team.  The following Friday they performed (to the ever-fabulous "Mmmmbop" by Hanson--you know I love it) in the Varsity football game preshow. 

• My Auntie Lhory and her best friend Janet came to visit us.  It was even more exciting due to the fact that this was my Auntie's first time to see us.  I ate lots and lots of Filipino food and the girls had lots and lots of fun playing with them.
• Hannah's school had drug awareness week and they had to dress up with a different theme everyday.  Wednesday was "Join the team in the fight against drugs" and they had to wear jerseys.  Since we don't have a jersey, and in all likelihood Hannah will never have an interest in wearing one, my amazing Aunt Lynne sent us an Ohio shirt.  (Texas only has Texas shirts...go figure.  But I think my dad and Josh would not talk to me for days if I put Hannah in a Texas shirt.  In fact, I had "words" with another mom in the schoolyard once she saw Hannah's shirt.  Only in Texas.)  Thank you so much Aunt Lynne!




It's the great pumpkin!


• We took the girls to the pumpkin patch!  Airy got to go in a bouncy house for the first time.  Needless to say, she loved it!  She has no fear of anything!  Hannah picked out a huge pumpkin, of course.  :)

• My mom surprised Hannah with a visit!  The girls were so glad and surprised to see her.  Hannah had no idea she was coming.  We even gave her a bogus excuse as to why we were at the airport.  When she saw my mom, she yelled, "Yaya!" and flew into her arms.  We had a very nice visit.  I again ate a lot of food. 



YAYA!

• Airy finally said a new word..."drink."  Maybe this will signal a flood of vocabulary.




Girls just wanna have fun!


• One of the presents Hannah got from my parents was the new movie "Barbie and a Fashion Fairy Tale."  So we had a 'viewing party' with three of her friends from school--Alaina (obviously), Kaylie, and Emily.  They made their own fashion dolls, ate popcorn, and had fun.  After that Hannah and Alaina finally got to finish their slumber party.  :)  Alaina spent the night and made it until the next morning. 
• Hannah got her report card...and she did very well!  We are so proud of her!
